Utah’s Sunflower Festival // Mommy & Me Session

Nothing gets any better than photographing your favorite lash girl (who is also a doula!) and her girls dancing in the sunflowers! These girls… such big personalities and I let them run the show! I’m a mom, I know, kids are kids and they don’t like to sit still and smile. They like to run around and laugh and have fun and even make a fart joke or two and that is A-OK with me!! I want your session to be authentic for each and every one of you and letting everyone roam and interact organically works like a charm every single time.

Green Acres Sunflower Field

Having grown up in northern Utah my whole life, I had zero clue there was a sunflower field under my nose the whole time! Utah’s Sunflower Festival is held every year mid to late summer and is located in weber county! This location is perfect for any kind of session; however, this mommy & me session with this gorgeous mama and her girls is easily a top 5 favorite of mine.

When to book your sunflower photography session

These sessions go quickly! Mini sessions are available 1-2 days during the festival and if you are wanting a regular session instead they will need to be booked as early as possible to ensure the time slot requested is available. One thing I absolutely love about shooting at the Green Acre Sunflower Field is that they reserve photographers only days/times for booking which cuts down on the foot traffic and allows us, photographers, to have a more intimate session with our clients without having to work around the rest of the patrons.
