🤍 If You Feel Awkward in Photos… You’re Not Alone
Almost every client tells me this before their session.
“I’m awkward in photos.”
“We don’t know how to pose.”
“My kids won’t cooperate.”
And honestly… I get it.
Most of us have only experienced photos that felt stiff and forced, so of course it feels uncomfortable.
But that’s not how it has to be.
✨ The Real Reason Photos Feel Awkward
It’s not you.
It’s the pressure to:
stand still
pose perfectly
look a certain way
That’s not how you naturally interact with the people you love… so it’s never going to feel right.
🌊 What I Do Instead
I don’t focus on posing. I focus on connection.
I’ll guide you the whole time, but it looks more like:
walking together
pulling your kids in close
laughing at something random
just slowing down for a second
You’re not performing. You’re just being with your people.
And that’s where the good stuff happens.
📸 A Few Simple Things That Help
If you’re nervous, keep this in mind:
Look at your people more than the camera
Keep moving (even a little)
Let go of things being “perfect.”
That’s it. That’s the shift.

If you’re still not sure what to do in the moment, I made something for you.
It’s a small guide with the exact prompts I use during sessions to help things feel natural and connected.
🌅 If This Feels Like Your Kind of Session
Then we’ll probably get along really well.
You don’t need to have it all together.
You just need to show up as you are.
